Ok, I can control min/max the brightness but where can I set the display to disappear after a prudent time (30 seconds or so) while playing like it did the original firmware?

The screen brightness can be controlled with the remote control.

Installed new on my 350 XORO, so far no issues. I would like to se the device to resume automatically after switch ON the last radio station it played when turned off. How can I do that?
