Hi, I usualy used wpa in guestnetwork, cause of devices, that cannot wpa2. Currently I use none. So I decided to shut down guestnetwork for security issues. I have dhcp enabled. There was an Iphone on the Guest-network and an other internetradio. Streaming protokolls are running in the main-network and working, also samba, but not in the arnova. I didnt chance this, in the wpa2-network(main-netwrok), but arnova works fine there now. I saw you implemented the ability to configure that. May be you are right, that this was the reason. The Timecapsule ist little poor to config there in the Guestnetwork. Here ist the only posibility to allow, to see the devices each other. Thank you for your excellent work and your (may be) "devotion" for this little devices. Bye , Manuel

Ok. Now i had time to check. Guest Network didnt work with Apple-time-capsule. Normal Network does. Encryption on guest-network was wpa. On normal network wpa2. Thx for all. Sincerely Manuel |
Hmm.. If I am not mistaken, the Time Capsule guest network can also use WPA2. I can connect fine with both WPA and WPA2. The only encryption that might have issues is WEP.
Sorry for possibly asking the obvious but just to be sure, your guest network is working with other devices? Are you using DHCP or manual IP addresses?
Do you still want to connect to the guest network? Besides a normal connection to the Internet, the device is also able to browse UPNP/DLNA and Samba shares on the local network. If these are not available to the guest network you would either need to set it up in such a way that they are available, not use them or use the normal network.
I will try to find a time capsule for debugging..

Tja - nun geht aber verschlüsseltes Wlan nicht mehr. Server ist eine Time-capsule von Apple. Da erscheint im Log:
" AFP login OK from (...) AFP session from (...) closing.
Hi, I checked, this appears to be a large harddrive with wifi base station. The Listenlive firmware uses exactly the same driver, configuration file and software to make a wifi connection. In order to help you, you have to give more information about your configuration. Like, are you trying to connect with WEP, WPA, WPA2, Radius etc etc? The password, does it have any special characters like ' " or spaces? (You can answer via mail if you like.)

There is no downgrade. The original firmware has a timebomb. I am nearly done with a new release so I rather fix things that have people go back to a dead end street.
